We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, Land Development to lead the planning, design and delivery of residential, commercial or mixed-use development projects from initial feasibility through to construction completion. This role will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project programmes and budgets, and ensure that all development activities meet regulatory, technical, quality and commercial requirements.
Key responsibilities will include preparing project plans, scopes, schedules and cost estimates; managing consultants, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders; and coordinating civil engineering, surveying, planning, environmental, geotechnical and architectural inputs. You will oversee the approvals and permitting process, monitor design development, identify and manage project risks, and provide clear progress reports to senior stakeholders. The role will also involve reviewing tenders and contracts, supporting procurement, tracking variations and claims, and ensuring that construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved documentation. You will be expected to resolve issues proactively and maintain strong relationships across internal and external project teams.
The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in project management, civil engineering, construction, urban development or a related discipline, together with substantial experience delivering land development or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of development approvals, civil works, construction processes, consultant coordination and project controls is essential. You will be highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing competing priorities, budgets and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound negotiation abilities and a collaborative leadership style are required. Experience with project management, scheduling, cost-control and document-management systems will be advantageous. A relevant professional certification or membership of an industry body is desirable, as is experience working across complex development environments.
