This role will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and client representatives, while maintaining clear and effective communication throughout each project phase.
Key responsibilities will include developing and managing project programmes, budgets, procurement strategies, risk registers and quality plans. You will oversee design coordination, construction activities, commissioning and handover, ensuring that technical, contractual and regulatory requirements are met. The role will involve monitoring progress, reviewing costs and forecasts, resolving project issues, managing variations and supporting commercial negotiations. You will also be expected to promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture, lead regular progress meetings and provide accurate reporting to senior stakeholders. Building positive relationships with clients and project partners will be essential to achieving successful outcomes.
Applicants should have significant project management experience within the water, wastewater, civil engineering or industrial construction sectors, with a proven record of delivering complex infrastructure or treatment facility projects. Strong leadership, planning, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with common project management and document-control systems, as well as relevant professional accreditation, would be advantageous. The role may require travel to project sites and regular engagement with regional teams and stakeholders.
