Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Distribution Project Manager to lead electric distribution infrastructure projects across Northern California, including the Bay Area. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and contractor coordination from initiation through closeout.

The ideal candidate has utility project management experience and collaborates across engineering, construction, and operations teams. Proficiency with SAP, CMDB, and Unifier is preferred, along with strong communication and risk

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of utility/project management experience.
  • Experience with scope, schedule, and budget management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple electric distribution projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Track finances, invoices, and change orders using SAP, CMDB, and Unifier.
  • Partner with GCs, engineering, construction, and internal stakeholders to drive delivery.
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and keep project documentation up to date.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership and teams.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to support delivery.

Job Description

A utility client of Insight Global is seeking a Distribution Project Manager to lead electric distribution infrastructure projects across the Northern CA service territory - Bay area. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, contractor coordination, and stakeholder communication from initiation through closeout. The ideal candidate has utility project management experience and is comfortable working across engineering, construction, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple electric distribution projects, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Track project financials, invoices, and change orders using SAP, CMDB, and Unifier.
  • Partner with General Contractors (GCs), engineering teams, construction crews, and internal stakeholders to drive project execution.
  • Identify project risks, resolve issues, and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership and project teams.
  • Travel to project sites and field locations as needed to support project delivery.
