Job summary

nTech Workforce is seeking a Project Manager to lead electric distribution infrastructure upgrades in the Oakbrook Terrace, IL area. The role involves managing projects from engineering design through construction and closeout, with a weekly in-office rotation that may shift after office build out.

You'll drive capacity expansion and 4–12 KV conversion initiatives, develop detailed project plans, supervise teams, manage budgets, and issue RFPs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience in utility/construction/infrastructure.
  • Experience with Electric Distribution (4-12 KV).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or Management (OR Associate's with 15+ years).
  • Clear documentation of education on resume (Degree and Institution).
  • Proficiency in financial forecasting and budget management.
  • Experience with MS Office and project management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of utility infrastructure projects (overhead, underground, civil, boring).
  • Drive capacity expansion and 4–12 KV conversion projects from start to finish.
  • Develop project plans defining scope, milestones and resources.
  • Lead project teams, monitor progress and mitigate risks.
  • Manage project budgets ($1M–$5M+) and perform financial forecasting.
  • Issue RFPs and manage subcontractors/external contractors.
  • Create dashboards and status reports using SmartSheets and Power BI for leadership.

  • This is a hybris position in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The current rotation one week in office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, one week in office Monday Tuesday, Thursday. This will likely shift to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday post office build out.
  • This is a typical Monday - Friday, eight hour per day position.
Overview & Responsibilities

Join a leading utility team as a Project Manager overseeing high-impact electric distribution infrastructure upgrades.
