Job description

FXCollaborative is an established architectural, interior design, planning, and urban design firm based in Brooklyn, NY. Noted for its commitment to sustainable design, the firm has been recognized through local, national, and international design excellence awards and feature articles in the most prestigious design publications. The practice encompasses corporate, civic, cultural, educational, transportation, residential, hospitality, office, retail, and mixed-use projects on a variety of scales.

We are currently looking for a full-time Project Manager – Interior Design, for our NYC office. The Project Manager will monitor and track project progress and is responsible for overall project performance and profitability.

Position Responsibilities
  • Leads project team and maintain primary contact with the client.
  • Writes or assists in writing fee proposals.
  • Must have ability to run all phases of a project from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.
  • Should have strong designand technical skills.
  • Controls project design schedule and budget to ensure project profitability.
  • Ensure timely review and submission of consultants’ invoices for payment.
  • Reviews all project submissions to client, regulatory agencies and contractors.
  • Oversees construction administration services, shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and progress meetings.
  • Participates in recruitment of staff.
  • Has excellent technical knowledge and management skills and is able to plan, direct and monitor all aspects of projects.
Position Requirements
  • Professional degree required.
  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Previous experience in workplace / corporate interior projects preferred.
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented and a self-starter.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidate should be proficient with Deltek Vision, Microsoft Suite, InDesign, Revit, and AutoCAD.
