Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Project Manager III - SAFE/GUARD in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will lead complex capital projects, provide strategic direction, and report on performance across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requires strong leadership and direct experience with major capital programs. The role includes coordinating project reviews, governance, and ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance while mentoring junior staff

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of project management experience.
• Experience leading projects valued in excess of $10M.
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred.

Project Manager III - SAFE/GUARD

Hybrid - must reside in commutable distance to Debary, FL, Winter Haven, FL, Yulee, FL, or West Palm Beach, FL

Your role in our success will be:

The Project Manager III serves a senior project manager responsible for the delivery of complex, high-value capital projects. This position provides leadership across all project phases and is accountable for project performance related to scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction.

The incumbent provides strategic direction to project teams and supports executive decision-making through comprehensive project analysis and performance reporting.

What youʼll be working on:

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects in the areas of regulator stations, Horizontal directional drilling, and land rights.
• Establish project execution strategies and project delivery plans.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and resource allocation.
• Lead project risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Direct change management and issue resolution activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee contractor and consultant performance.
• Facilitate executive-level project reviews and governance meetings.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Identify project improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior project managers and project coordinators.
• Support portfolio planning and project prioritization activities.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
• Experience leading projects valued in excess of $10M
• 5-8 years of project management experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent, preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
• Demonstrated experience managing complex capital projects.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing project risk, cost, and schedule performance.
• Utility, transmission, LNG, pipeline, infrastructure, or major capital project experience.
• Portfolio management experience.
