Job summary

Mainz Brady Group is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support a major manufacturing & construction initiative in Portland, OR. You will connect schedules, budgets, risks, and progress to provide leadership with clear insights for decisions and issue resolution.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project controls or PMO, strong MS Project, Excel, and Power BI skills, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience with large capital projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project controls, PMO, project coordination, or project management.
• Experience supporting capital, manufacturing, industrial, engineering, facility, or construction projects.
• Strong Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field. Experience with projects exceeding $50M, greenfield facilities, plant expansions, EPC environments, Power BI, Smartsheet, or Primavera P6 is a plus.

Project Controls Specialist - Manufacturing & Construction

Help keep a major manufacturing facility project on track - from planning and engineering through construction, equipment installation, and operational readiness. Working closely with the PMO Manager, you’ll connect schedules, budgets, risks, and progress into a clear picture that helps project leadership make decisions and resolve issues.

Top 3 Technical Skills

• Project Scheduling: Build and maintain integrated schedules using Microsoft Project, tracking milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and recovery plans.


• Cost Controls & Forecasting: Support project budgets, CAPEX/OPEX forecasting, commitments, accruals, and variance analysis.


• Project Reporting & Risk Management: Turn schedule, cost, and progress data into clear dashboards and executive reports while tracking risks, issues, changes, and follow-up actions.

What You Bring

• 5+ years in project controls, PMO, project coordination, or project management.
