Job summary

The ideal candidate will have seven or more years in project management, with public procurement experience; a Master’s degree and relevant certifications are a plus

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in project management, process improvement, or strategic planning.
  • Public Procurement Experience Required.
  • Master’s degree, professional certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or related), and enterprise-level project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, project timing requirements and compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement approved strategic plans to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall project success.
  • Oversee project execution from initiation to completion, including planning, budgeting, risk assessment, and performance tracking.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments, ensuring stakeholder engagement and effective communication.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive problem resolution.
  • Optimize processes and workflows to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Drive the adoption of technology and data-driven decision-making to improve project outcomes.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and operational standards.
  • Support leadership in strategic planning and policy development.

Job Description

The Project Manager III in the Department of Procurement is responsible for leading high-impact projects, ensuring strategic alignment, efficiency, and compliance in execution for matters of procurement. This role oversees project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to drive successful outcomes. The Project Manager III provides leadership in procurement process improvement, technology integration, and operational excellence while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

The position requires strong problem-solving skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to navigate complex project environments. Working closely with leadership, internal teams, and external partners, the Project Manager III is instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and delivering measurable results in the Department of Procurement.
