Job summary

Job description

This Project Manager II position is located in the Department of Transportation, Highways Division on the Island of Oahu. The role involves planning, organizing, managing, implementing, and evaluating complex projects from conception to completion, overseeing all project components, managing budgets and contracts, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. The position may involve supervising project teams or serving as a senior project manager responsible for one or more highly complex, statewide-impact projects.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Four and one-half years of progressively responsible professional experience planning, directing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating projects
  • Experience determining project goals, scope, deliverables, timelines, costs, and resources; leading project teams; and administering budgets and contracts
  • Valid driver's license at time of appointment
  • Supervisory aptitude or potential
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
