Job summary

Port Houston is seeking an experienced Project Manager to independently manage capital projects from initiation to completion in the Houston area. You will be accountable for scope, cost, schedule, and stakeholder objectives across the full project life cycle, coordinating with Facilities Planning and Construction Managers.

Qualified candidates bring a Civil/Structural/Marine/Electrical background, 6+ years of project delivery, and a Texas PE or PMP preference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree or related certifications preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive project management/engineering experience with full lifecycle delivery.
• Texas Professional Engineer License and/or equivalent experience; PMP preferred and must be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple small to medium projects from planning through commissioning and startup.
• Define scope, budget, and schedule; analyze critical paths and constraints.
• Serve as primary interface with Facilities Planning for project definition and alignment.
• Coordinate with Construction Managers during construction to align objectives with field execution.
• Support cost tracking, schedule updates, and reporting with Project Controls.
• Ensure compliance with Texas Water Code and professional engineering practices for public entities.
