Job summary

Port Houston seeks a seasoned Project Manager to independently manage capital port infrastructure projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring scope, cost, schedule and stakeholder objectives are met across the full project life cycle.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with Facilities Planning and Construction Managers, manage consultants and contractors, and apply project controls to track costs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; 6+ years PM/engineering experience.
• Texas PE license and PMP preferred; must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• Experience delivering full lifecycle projects in public entities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple small to medium projects from planning through startup.
• Define scope, budget, and schedule; coordinate with Facilities Planning and Construction Managers.
• Interface with Facilities Planning and stakeholders; monitor cost and schedule.
• Review project teams' work; ensure scope and cost compliance.
• Prepare procurement documentation and negotiate with consultants/contractors.
