The role requires strategic vision, supplier negotiation skills, and leadership experience to drive sourcing for BPO and Managed Services. We design and manufacture sensors for storage tanks, water metering, energy metering, gas monitoring, and asset management.
Our founders are hardcore telecommunications engineers with combined 200 + years of experience in designing, optimizing and performance engineering; for several mid – large wireless carriers internationally - that saw a need to provide low power, cost efficient sensors to collect data, create alerts, and predict needed actions. We have combined these sensors with low power, wide area (LPWA) networking technologies to provide clients various options to decrease re-occurring costs associated with operating an IoT network of sensors and connected devices.

Job Title- Category Sourcing Expert- Business Process Outsourcing and Managed Services

Seeks dynamic, proactive and transformational Sourcing Professionals with a strategic vision for category expertise in BPO and Managed Services who are interested in joining our team.
The Category Sourcing Expert (CSE) plays a lead role supporting Client's business goals along with cost savings and revenue generation through the sourcing process. Client seeks a dynamic professional with strategic experience and a transformational approach to Sourcing, supplier negotiations, and data gathering to perform Strategic Sourcing activities supporting the BPO and Managed Services category. The CSE works independently, managing multiple time-sensitive goals, objectives and projects.
Responsibilities:
• Advises and guides internal business partners through the end-to-end acquisition process to procure goods and services that achieve the internal business partners’ intended outcomes
• Performs market analysis to help identify suppliers and locations which produce the most favorable financial and operational outcomes for internal business partners
• Leads the cross functional team (CFT) to determine the business and technical requirements and drafts necessary language to translate them into RFXs for distribution to suppliers
• Drives all aspects of complex strategic sourcing RFP’s and direct contract negotiation processes and leads negotiations of business and pricing terms
• Responsible for end to end elements of the sourcing process in order to drive consensus on critical supplier selection actions:
o Analysis of supplier proposals and presentation to cross functional teams
o Determining and analyzing supplier qualifications
o Partners with internal clients to develop negotiation strategy, objectives and plans, and manage contract negotiations with incumbent and potential new suppliers
o Determining the clients' or CFTs' product or service technical and business requirements
o Perform ongoing supplier management to ensure contract terms, conditions and performance management compliance
o Maximize Client's purchasing power to achieve a lower cost while mitigating risk
o Develop strategies and support development of requirements for use in obtaining competitive business and pricing alternatives from suppliers
o Champions, develops, manages, and drives key relationships that are critical to the success of sourcing projects
• Apply critical thinking skills and work independently to make sound business decisions on behalf of the company
• Ability to solve complex problems to ensure business and financial issues result in sound decisions
• Works with business partners and CFT to resolve supplier related business issues
• Stays current with industry trends, and becomes a Trusted Advisor to our business partners
• Presents new products, technologies and services from existing or new suppliers to business partners
• Proactively develops and initiates solutions and approaches to drive best in class supplier performance
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of demonstrated academic and/or professional leadership experience in the following:
o Strategic Sourcing and/or Contract Management
o Operational knowledge of BPO and Managed Services
o Project Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment
o Contract negotiations to include business, price and technical terms
• RFP experience leading competitive processes
• Experience leading or participating in CFT
• Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing processes, policies, and procedures
• Experience in data analysis & supplier assessment
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience developing resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity
• Experience in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Strong interpersonal and goal/service skills
• Strong leadership skills
