Job summary

WCL Group in Greenville, SC is seeking a Project Manager II for Capital Equipment. You will manage equipment that is bought, delivered, installed, and qualified to production, coordinating with teams to achieve on-time execution.

You will maintain Smartsheet schedules, participate in Kaizens and roadmap sessions, and apply manufacturing knowledge to improve scheduling, cost, and speed. This 1-year onsite contract offers potential extension or full-time conversion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with project scheduling software, preferably Smartsheet.
• 2 years manufacturing experience with continuous improvement leadership.
• Production supervision experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use cross-functional capabilities to support business case approval, technical specification creation, RFQs and POs, and delivery of capital equipment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of all steps within the Capex purchasing process.
• Create and lead development of new schedules for capital equipment, incorporating sourcing, procurement, installation, and qualification activities.
• Keep the Smartsheet schedule updated and accurate.
• Attend and facilitate Kaizens and roadmaps to support capacity ramp-up.
• Identify and implement cost-out opportunities and provide regional/global shop support.

That means working with teams across the business to get the business case approved, write the technical specs, send out quotes and purchase orders, and track every step until the equipment is qualified for production. You'll build and keep the Smartsheet schedules up to date, join improvement events (Kaizens) and roadmap sessions that support the capacity ramp-up, and look for ways to cut cost and speed things up.
