Job summary

WCL Group in Bangor, Maine is seeking a Project Manager II to oversee initiatives from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget. You’ll define scope, build detailed plans, coordinate resources, and manage the Capex purchasing process with cross-functional teams.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a drive for continuous improvement, cost-out opportunities, and qualification accuracy across regional and global efforts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience coordinating or managing projects or project controls.
• Experience using Smartsheet and other PMS tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans and timelines.
• Coordinate project resources and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Use cross-functional capabilities to support Business Case Approval, Technical Specification creation, issuance of RFQs and POs, and the delivery of Capital Equipment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and step owners across the business to ensure on-time delivery of all steps within the Capex Purchasing Process.
• Attend and facilitate Kaizens and Roadmaps to support the capacity ramp-up.
• Bring strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, along with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead the effort to ensure the Smartsheet schedule is updated and accurate.
• Apply knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance the overall qualification process, reduce cost, and add value.
• Identify and implement qualification cost-out opportunities.
• Provide regional, and in some cases global, shop support.
• Cultivate a positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed.
• Ensure the team delivers change that has business impact.

Experience with project management software. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
