Risus Talent Partners LLC is partnering with an established construction organization to recruit an experienced Project Manager II in Ceres, CA. You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, from planning to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience in commercial construction and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PM experience in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of schedules, budgets, and financial performance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Strong client-facing, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Ability to travel regularly to active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from planning through execution and closeout.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and plans.
• Maintain strong client relationships as the primary contact.
• Collaborate with Sales and Estimating on bids and handoffs.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Review project plans, specs, submittals, geotechnical reports.
• Manage change orders, pricing, negotiation, and documentation.
• Monitor milestones, costs, and overall progress.
• Oversee subcontractor billings and milestone billing.
• Identify risks, resolve escalations, and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Oversee closeout documentation including O&M manuals and warranties.
• Lead and mentor Project Coordinators and Superintendents.
• Support process improvements and post-project reviews.

Job description

Location: Ceres, CA

We’re partnering with an established construction organization seeking an experienced Project Manager II to join its Construction Services team in Ceres, CA.

This position will oversee the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, ranging from standard mobile/modular building installations to complex turnkey permanent construction projects. The Project Manager will own project planning, execution, financial performance, stakeholder communication, and closeout while helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage commercial construction projects from planning through execution and closeout
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and overall project plans
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a key point of contact throughout the project
• Collaborate with Sales and Estimating on bid strategies, pricing, and project handoffs
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Review project plans, specifications, submittals, geotechnical reports, and other construction documentation
• Manage change orders, including pricing, negotiation, and documentation
• Monitor project milestones, job costs, financial performance, and overall progress
• Manage subcontractor billings, pay applications, milestone billing, and project financial reporting
• Identify project risks, resolve escalated issues, and facilitate conflict resolution
• Oversee project closeout documentation, including O&M manuals and warranty documentation
• Lead and mentor Project Coordinators, Superintendents, and other project team members
• Support process improvements and post-project reviews

The position includes direct responsibility for project financials, stakeholder management, contract risk, vendor relationships, factory coordination, team leadership, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, project schedules, budgets, and financial performance
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong client-facing, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license
• OSHA 10 certification
• Ability to travel regularly to active construction sites

Preferred Experience:

• Mobile or modular construction experience
• Bluebeam Revu, Procore, Microsoft D365, MS Project, or similar construction/project management software
• Construction contracts and contract negotiation
• Prevailing wage compliance, construction insurance, and cost coding
• OSHA 30 certification

Modular experience is preferred rather than listed as a hard requirement in the original description, while the role requires at least five years of commercial construction project-management experience.

Salary:

$100,000–$110,000, depending on experience
