Job summary

Intermountain Electronics seeks a Project Manager I to oversee planning, technical, quality, and commercial aspects of project delivery, and to support customer field commissioning requirements.

You will lead cross-functional teams, develop schedules, manage changes, and ensure on-time delivery while protecting profitability. Strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or technical field with one year experience in design, commissioning, or cost estimating.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blue prints and drawings, P&ID’s, general business reports; write professional level RFPs, RFQs and supplement technical drawings and reports.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with project-engineering team, manufacturing personnel, and customers to ensure successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage approval process for customer approvals and communicate project schedule impacts.
• Ensure documentation – commercial, technical, quality, logistics/shipping – is provided.
• Advise on lead times with quotes and product orders.
• Facilitate project meetings with clients and proactively track action items.
• Develop project approach with engineers and provide sketches, drawings, and job traveler.
• Engage with customers on technical questions and propose design options.
• Assist in commissioning and field support on projects as required.
• Maintain awareness of budget and proactively seek profitability improvements.
• Develop project schedule and ensure on-time delivery; coordinate with operations for capacity.
