The St. Louis County Government Department of Transportation is seeking a Project Manager I, II, III in the Planning and Programming section of the Project Development Division. This position involves responsibilities such as transportation system improvement studies, development of transportation concept plans, policy development, standards creation, pavement ratings review, GIS data maintenance, support for funding applications, and GIS mapping updates.
The position is based in Creve Coeur at the Department of Transportation / Public Works offices. The level of the position (I, II, or III) will depend on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Proficiency in transportation engineering software is required; experience with ArcGIS, MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoTURN, Synchro, and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
A selection committee will evaluate applicants based on education, experience, supplemental questions, references, and other relevant factors. Only the most qualified candidates will be invited for interviews. Responses to interview questions will account for 100% of the final grade, with a passing score of 70 or above. Candidates will need to complete a Conviction Questionnaire and undergo drug screening prior to appointment.
The top five candidates will be certified to the Department Director for final selection.
