Job summary

Knight Const. & Supply, Inc. seeks a Project Manager / Engineer to oversee construction projects from inception through delivery at our Deer Park, WA headquarters.

You will guide proposals and estimating through execution, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards. You will coordinate with clients, field crews, and leadership to manage schedules, budgets, and contract issues, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Computer skills including MS Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD; BLUEBEAM, Sage 300-Timberline and Primavera P6 are a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred but not required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects ensuring budgets, schedules, quality, and contractual commitments are met.
• Flexibility to operate in a dynamic environment.
• Strong knowledge of heavy industrial construction materials, processes and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Must meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Compose and implement project-specific work plans.
• Prepare documentation such as submittals, bid packages, contracts, invoices, change orders, and forecasts.
• Communicate deviations from bid to site conditions to client and subcontractors; secure additional work authorization before changes.
• Review subcontractor work for contract compliance and approve change orders.
• Learn Laser Tracker usage for precise location measurements for construction alignment.
• Create and track project schedules.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with Foreman to schedule tasks, select methods, manage labor/equipment/material usage; conduct on-site meetings.
• Attend completion inspections and final government inspections; maintain client relationships.
