Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager for commercial mechanical construction projects in the Minneapolis area. You will oversee projects from preconstruction through turnover, ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance, and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HVAC/mechanical construction, strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, sheet metal, and Procore/Bluebeam/Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial HVAC or mechanical construction projects.
• Experience overseeing projects from preconstruction through final turnover.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical piping, sheet metal, controls coordination, and MEP practices.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasting, cost control, procurement, and scheduling.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial HVAC/mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Ensure safety, on-schedule delivery, and budget compliance.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Lead project teams and manage procurement, subcontractors, and scheduling.

Job Details

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial HVAC or mechanical construction projects.
• Experience overseeing projects from preconstruction through final turnover.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical piping, sheet metal, controls coordination, and MEP construction practices.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, subcontractor management, procurement, and scheduling.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling software and construction management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent mechanical construction experience will also be considered.
• OSHA safety knowledge and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
