Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC invites an experienced Project Manager, High Voltage Services, to lead HV service projects from initiation to completion in the United States. You will build plans, coordinate engineers and subcontractors, and act as the primary contact for customers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You’ll drive risk management, budgeting, safety compliance, and stakeholder communication, delivering quality results and continuous improvement across programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience focused on high voltage power systems.
  • Knowledge of high voltage equipment and safety standards; PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans covering scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to support clear communication and workflows.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, provide updates, manage expectations and resolve concerns.

The Opportunity As a Project Manager, High Voltage Services, you will manage high voltage service projects from initiation through completion for Hitachi Energy customers. You will develop project plans covering scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and quality requirements while coordinating engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Serving as the primary customer contact, you will provide progress updates, manage expectations, and address project concerns. You will monitor delivery, manage risks and project finances, maintain compliance with safety requirements and industry standards, and prepare project documentation for stakeholders. You will also conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement.

Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience focused on high voltage power systems, substations, or transmission and distribution networks, including successful delivery of complex technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of high voltage equipment, safety standards, and industry practices; PMP or an equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, and standard office applications.
  • Able to manage diverse teams and customer relationships through effective communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and sound project management; ability to travel to project sites as required.
