Job summary

GH Engage is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead field construction projects, driving safety, quality production, client satisfaction, and favorable economic outcomes. You will oversee budgeting, client relations, scheduling, and risk management in collaboration with operations leadership and field teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management, 8+ years in construction management, and government contracting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training/experience.
• Minimum of 8 years in construction management, estimating, or craft supervision in facility or heavy civil construction.
• Government contracting experience in federal/state/municipal services, procurement, and contract administration.
• Strong understanding of construction law, contract negotiation, change orders, and safety regulations; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Supervise the total construction effort to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and per design and safety specs.
• Cost & Budget Management: Prepare initial estimates, conduct cost analyses, manage budgets, and oversee change orders.
• Field Leadership: Plan direct onsite functions, including scheduling, material control, and admin support, coordinating with operations leadership.
• Contract Administration: Manage contract performance, perform risk assessments, and advise leadership on complex issues, negotiations, and disputes.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations: Primary contact for clients, AE reps, vendors, and regulatory bodies; collaborate with sales/marketing to support initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with federal, state, local, industry, and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Supervise the total construction effort to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and according to design and safety specifications.
• Cost & Budget Management: Prepare initial estimates, conduct cost analyses, manage project budgets, and oversee change orders and extra work estimates.
• Field Leadership: Plan and direct onsite functions, including scheduling, engineering, material control, and administrative support. Coordinate budget, labor, and equipment needs with operations leadership.
• Contract Administration: Manage contract performance, perform risk assessments, and advise leadership on complex issues, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary contact for clients, AE representatives, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support business initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, local, industry, and contractual standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training/experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in construction management, estimating, or craft supervision in facility or heavy civil construction.
• Government Contracting: Demonstrated experience with government (federal, state, municipal) services, procurement, and contract administration.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction law, contract negotiation, change orders, and safety regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Location: Primarily a field/site-based position with time split between field offices and active construction sites. Occasional travel to corporate offices and national job sites.
• Conditions: Outdoor work involving exposure to variable weather conditions, uneven ground, machinery, and site environments. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods on-site.
• PPE: Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing).
• Schedule: Full-time position. May require work beyond standard hours or on-call availability for project emergencies.
