Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure projects in the region. You will manage roadway, bridge, and utility work, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and profitability.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in heavy civil PM. Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration is required. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy civil construction.
  • Proven experience managing roadway, highway, bridge, utility, earthwork, grading, paving, or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Experience managing public infrastructure projects for DOT, municipal, county, or other government agencies is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule, quality, and profitability.
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate with field supervision to ensure successful execution.
  • Review drawings, specs, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and maintain safe job sites.

Job Details

  • Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling software, project management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier agreements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Experience leading project meetings and coordinating with field supervision to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ability to identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to minimize cost and schedule impacts.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA standards and a strong commitment to maintaining safe job sites.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
