Your Opportunity

Become part of an industry leader in healthcare design, leading and managing integrated teams working with top healthcare clients on innovative projects and transformational spaces. This client-facing Project Manager role involves engaging with internal teams and consultants throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-positioning for pursuits to project close-out. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the healthcare practice’s growth strategies and execution.

The healthcare practice focuses on regional, national, and international clients, including expansion into new market segments such as behavioral health, with teams primarily based in Philadelphia and Washington DC. Projects include renovations and new constructions for various healthcare providers.

As a Project Manager, your responsibilities include project planning, scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and leadership during design, documentation, construction, and close-out phases. You will also play a leadership role in client management, business development, and team mentorship, working closely with principals to ensure project success in terms of client satisfaction, design quality, financial performance, and technical excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Stantec and the project team to clients.
  • Support Stantec’s values and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Advocate for design and technical excellence.
  • Assist in business development through proposal writing, positioning, and interviews.
  • Lead project planning, execution, and team coordination.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and scope.
  • Mentor team members and ensure quality standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth and project performance.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Extensive project management experience supporting project acquisition and delivery.
  • Ability to support multiple projects and principals simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare codes, regulations, and standards (FGI, NFPA, CMS, Joint Commission, PA/NJ DOH, etc.).
  • Proactive, self-directed, and excellent communicator.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Newforma preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field required.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Additional certifications (LEED, WELL, ACHA, etc.) are beneficial but not required.

This role offers a hybrid work environment, with 3-4 days in the office or at client sites weekly.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $115,900 - $173,800 (WA and DC). Final compensation depends on education, experience, and location.
