Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Manager - Grid Components to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that support reliable and efficient energy systems. You will own the full lifecycle from quote handoff to closeout and serve as the main connector between customers and project teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in project management, with strong English communication and a PMP preference. Travel up to 30% is expected within the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PM best practices and tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Proven experience managing customer relationships and contracts.
  • PMP certification preferred; willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple complex projects with defined goals, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and manage escalations.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across internal and external teams.
  • Plan and manage scope, budgets, resources, and schedules.
  • Oversee documentation related to scope, financials, and risk management.
  • Manage project financials, including invoicing, cost control, and cash flow.
  • Monitor progress to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and share learnings.
