Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary design teams from concept through completion on DOE, facility, laboratory, and federal campus infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes managing scope, cost, schedule, and quality while building client relationships and supporting business development in the region.

The ideal candidate will have 7–20 years of related experience, a relevant degree, and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 to 20 years related experience, including delivery of facilities and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to make thoughtful, informative and persuasive presentations to clients, regulatory agencies and the general public.
• Ability to represent Burns & McDonnell in a professional, competent manner.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE, GSA, DOS or DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, communicate and facilitate activities of several disciplines on projects of all sizes from concept through completion.
• Make critical decisions and recommendations that have an important effect on projects and programs.
• Manage project delivery, including scoping, budgeting, maintaining schedules, meeting budget objectives, communicating and meeting deadlines.
• Promote safe work environments.
• They will assist in maintaining client relationships and network within the client organization in supporting business development activities.
• They will assist with the development of technical and cost proposals and qualification statements.
• They will assist with establishing and building a local office and brand in the area and will serve as one of the primary interfaces with local clients.
• Work with other Global Practices or divisions on emerging projects in the area.
