Job summary

Superior Building Company, LLC seeks an experienced Project Manager / Estimator for multi-family plumbing. Lead projects from bid to closeout, coordinating with field teams, suppliers, and clients in Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in construction.
• Experience estimating and bidding multi-family plumbing projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bids and estimates for multi-family plumbing projects.
• Review plans, specs, and bid documents to develop accurate proposals.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and suppliers.
• Develop project budgets and proposals.
• Manage multiple multi-family plumbing projects from award to closeout.
• Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Work with Superintendents, field crews, GCs, suppliers, architects, engineers, owners, inspectors.
• Review contracts and project specifications.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules.
• Track job costs to keep projects within budget.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, EIS, POs, monthly billings, docs.

This is a leadership position for someone who can confidently manage projects from estimating and bidding through project completion. We're looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, planning ahead, solving problems, and delivering successful projects safely, on time, and within budget.

$$40.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do

• Prepare competitive bids and estimates for new multi‑family plumbing projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate project proposals.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and suppliers.
• Develop project budgets and proposals.
• Manage multiple multi‑family plumbing projects simultaneously from award through closeout.
• Coordinate project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Work closely with Superintendents, field crews, General Contractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, owners, and inspectors.
• Review contracts, project specifications, and plumbing plans.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules.
• Track job costs and ensure projects remain within budget.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, monthly billings, and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify potential project risks and develop solutions before they become issues.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Superior's quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in construction.
• Experience estimating and bidding multi‑family plumbing projects is required.
• Experience managing multi‑family plumbing projects from bid through completion.
• Strong understanding of multi‑family plumbing systems and construction sequencing.
• Experience preparing bids, reviewing plans, and developing project estimates.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, forecasting, and job costing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and project closeout documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Procore.
• Experience with Textura.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review, quantity takeoffs, and markups.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with construction estimating software (FastPIPE, Trimble, Sage Estimating, or similar platforms preferred).
• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and job costing.
• Experience working with multi‑family developers, owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
