Job summary

Texas Commercial Glazing, part of the Installed Building Products family, is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator in Austin, TX. You will review plans, prepare estimates for storefront and heavy glass, and manage projects from contract through closeout.

The role requires 2+ years in PM/estimating in storefront/glazing, read drawings, and strong communication. Office-based with site visits; competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and/or estimating within storefront and heavy glass.
• Strong understanding of commercial glazing systems, storefronts, entrances, and heavy glass installations.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for storefront and heavy glass projects.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Submit competitive and profitable bids.
• Manage awarded projects from contract execution through closeout.
• Coordinate schedules, materials, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and timelines.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, and suppliers.
• Process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Resolve project challenges while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Salary: $40,000 - $75,000 per year (based on experience)

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager / Estimator with experience in commercial storefront and heavy glass projects.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for storefront and heavy glass projects.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial glazing projects from start to finish.
• Knowledge of project scheduling and cost tracking.
• Familiarity with industry estimating software.

Physical Demands

This position primarily works in an office environment with occasional visits to construction sites. The employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, use a computer, communicate with customers and team members, and occasionally lift or carry items up to 20 pounds.
