Job summary

Texas Commercial Glazing located in Austin, TX, seeks a Project Manager / Estimator with experience in commercial storefront and heavy glass projects. This full-time, on-site role involves reviewing plans, preparing estimates, coordinating with vendors and crews, and managing projects from contract through closeout.

The candidate will ensure timely, within-budget delivery, while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and/or estimating within storefront and heavy glass.
• Strong understanding of commercial glazing systems, storefronts, entrances, and heavy glass installations.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for storefront and heavy glass projects.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Submit competitive and profitable bids.
• Manage awarded projects from contract execution through closeout.
• Coordinate schedules, materials, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and timelines.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, and suppliers.
• Process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Resolve project challenges while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
