Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior-level civil construction professional to lead heavy civil projects in the Minneapolis area. The role focuses on managing projects from preconstruction to closeout, with emphasis on schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction project management or estimating.
• Experience with roadway, bridge, utilities, earthwork, grading, paving, concrete or site development.
• Ability to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout within schedule and budget.
• Experience preparing conceptual estimates, bids, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses.
• Knowledge of DOT, municipal, and public infrastructure standards.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, contracts, and subcontractor proposals.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, schedules, and field coordination.
• Strong financial management including forecasting, budgeting, cost tracking, change orders.
• Proficiency with construction management and estimating software platforms.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Commitment to jobsite safety, quality control, and client satisfaction.

Job Details

• 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction project management, estimating, or a combination of both
• Strong experience with heavy civil projects including roadway, bridge, underground utilities, earthwork, grading, paving, concrete, or site development
• Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining schedule and budget goals
• Experience preparing conceptual estimates, competitive bids, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses for heavy civil projects
• Strong understanding of DOT, municipal, and public infrastructure construction standards and specifications
• Ability to review civil drawings, specifications, contracts, and subcontractor proposals
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, project schedules, and field coordination activities
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operations, construction sequencing, and civil construction means and methods
• Strong financial management skills including forecasting, budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
• Proficiency with construction management and estimating software platforms
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Commitment to jobsite safety, quality control, and client satisfaction
