Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Project Manager/Estimator to oversee disaster restoration and reconstruction projects from initial estimate to completion. The role involves approximately 40% fieldwork and 60% office work, supported by an administrative team. The position offers a flexible schedule and emphasizes a healthy work/life balance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conducting field inspections
• Preparing estimates using XActimate or Symbility
• Communicating with insurance adjusters and property owners to finalize projects
• Coordinating with contractors and vendors to meet schedules
• Managing change orders and ensuring quality control
• Providing exceptional customer service and adhering to budgets

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of construction-related project management experience, preferably with high-end home builders or small general contractors, or experience as a property claims field adjuster
• Experience managing residential (70%) and light commercial (30%) projects ranging from $5K to $2M
• Established contacts with local subcontractors and vendors
• Knowledge of construction cost control procedures
• Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules
• Proven problem-solving skills using non-traditional methods in reconstruction
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication
• Proficiency in XM8 (Xactimate), Symbility, DASH, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Educational background: 2-year technical degree or 4-year degree preferred
• Restoration Industry Certifications from IICRC are a plus
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle
• Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs
