Job summary

Elgen Staffing's client, a precision metal fabrication shop in Columbus, seeks an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to lead estimating efforts and manage projects from concept to completion.

You will read blueprints, perform take-offs, interface with customers on site visits, and prepare time, material, and labor estimates; CAD proficiency required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience
• Knowledge in CAD and can prepare and deliver estimates of time, money, materials, and labor for projects
• Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine resources
• Will go out on the field for customer site visits and events
• May make cold calls to develop business, but will mostly be estimating
• Basic knowledge of fabrication
• Must read prints
• Take-off experience helpful
• Must be able to use a tape measure accurately
• Basic math skills
• May be required to visit job sites

Our client, a precision metal fabrication shop, has an immediate need for an experienced Project Manager / Estimator, to join their winning team in Columbus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years’ experience
• Required knowledge in CAD and can prepare and deliver estimates of time, money, materials, and labor needed for projects (his includes analyzing blueprints and specifications to determine the necessary resources)
• Will be going out on the field for customer site visits, customer luncheons, networking events, etc.
• May at times be making cold calls to new customers/clients in the area to develop business, but will mostly be estimating
• Basic knowledge of fabrication
• CAD experience
• Must read prints
• Take-off experience helpful
• Must be able to use a tape measure accurately
• Basic math skills
• May be required to visit job sites
