During PSPS events, establishing emergency evacuation centers with reliable backup power is vital, especially for disadvantaged communities. Electric school buses can serve as cost-effective, environmentally friendly backup power sources, supporting community resilience and transportation needs.
WRI works on equitable approaches across six focus areas, including supporting school districts in electrification, collaborating with industry, improving utility infrastructure, and engaging policymakers to promote equitable school bus electrification.
As a Project Manager, you will integrate equity into your work, support the implementation of a national electric school bus fleet transition, and lead project management and stakeholder engagement. You will work with a diverse team of experts and coordinate multiple project aspects, including design, troubleshooting, and knowledge dissemination.
