AES Clean Energy is seeking an EPC Project Manager to oversee high-impact photovoltaic solar and energy storage projects from development to turnover. The role involves due diligence, construction planning, defining EPC scopes, and acting as an Owner’s Project Manager. The position reports to the Director of Project Management and requires periodic travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define and document RFPs and scope of work for 3rd party EPC firms, participate in selection and negotiations.
  2. Conduct due diligence on potential solar sites, evaluate site suitability, and review reports.
  3. Act as the Owner’s Representative for EPC Contract Management on solar and energy storage projects.
  4. Review and manage EPC schedules, budgets, scope, subcontractors, EHS plans, and permits.
  5. Manage utility interconnection processes and documentation.
  6. Engage with project stakeholders, landowners, government agencies, and suppliers.
  7. Support permitting and jurisdictional approvals.
  8. Coordinate with EPC contractors and vendors to ensure compliance and delivery.
  9. Manage activities of internal teams and external contractors, ensuring quality and safety.
  10. Lead project status meetings and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
  11. Organize and file project documentation for internal and external needs.
  12. Coordinate project turnover from construction to operations.
  13. Assist in developing internal policies, standards, and procedures.
  14. Travel up to 30% to various project locations.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or related field.
  2. 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, renewable energy preferred.
  3. Knowledge of photovoltaic solar design, civil, and structural standards.
  4. Experience in distributed generation or utility-scale PV solar projects; energy storage experience is a plus.
  5. PMP certification preferred.
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, CPM scheduling, and project management software.
  7. Excellent communication, presentation, and partner management skills.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain composure under stress.
