Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Manager for Environmental Services Global Practice to support the Environmental Engineering team. The role focuses on developing and profitably managing multiple clients and projects across Kansas City, Omaha, and Oklahoma City.
The successful candidate will lead proposal development, define scopes and fees, provide technical guidance, and manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors, while coordinating with regulatory agencies.
Burns & McDonnell is looking for a Project Manager in the Environmental Services Global Practice to support the Environmental Engineering team located primarily in Kansas City, Omaha, and Oklahoma City.
Professional services and construction project types undertaken by the Environmental Engineering technical services area include general civil grading support, stormwater management, stream restoration, wetland restoration, solid waste facilities (MSW, industrial, and CCR), coastal restoration and resiliency, environmental remediation, coal combustion residuals, manufactured gas plants, mine reclamation and permitting, constructed wetland treatment systems, and multi-discipline capital projects involving facility development and expansions. Project types span planning studies, design-bid-build, and design-build. Current client types include electrical utility, solid waste, manufacturing, remediation, renewable energy, and others.
A majority of Environmental Engineering team members have a background in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Planning. However, the team looks to build capacity in design-build project execution through the growth in team members with experience in multi-discipline project management and a more diverse technical focus (mechanical, electrical, structural, architecture).
The successful candidate will be a seller-doer with demonstrated experience developing and profitably managing multiple clients and projects. Relevant day-to-day activities may include proposal development, marketing, defining scope of work and associated fee, development of client deliverables, providing technical guidance to project staff, negotiating with regulatory agencies, leading QA/QC tasks, managing subcontractors, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
The Project Manager will lead the project teams in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety, and overall outstanding service.
This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
