Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Manager in the Environmental Services Global Practice to support the Environmental Engineering team based in Kansas City, Omaha, and Oklahoma City. The role involves leading seller-doer activities such as proposal development, client development, defining scopes, and delivering client deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• PE license or applicable credential preferred.
• Experience with business development, client maintenance, and proposal development.
• Experience with project management, environmental regulation, and agency coordination (EPA, state agencies).
• Experience executing civil/environmental engineering methods for bid-ready designs and reports.
• Strong communication and ability to work with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal development, marketing, and definition of scope of work and fee.
• Develop client deliverables and provide technical guidance to project staff.
• Negotiate with regulatory agencies and manage QA/QC tasks.
• Lead subcontractors, contracts, schedules, and budgets for projects.
• Drive client satisfaction and profitable project execution.
• Coordinate multi-discipline design-build efforts and ensure compliance with regulations.
