AZAD Technology Partners in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Project Manager for the Transmission Project Portfolio Management organization. You will plan, facilitate, and coordinate activities for capital projects across Transmission Lines, Substations, or Telecom & Facilities from inception to conclusion within a hybrid work setting, onsite 3 days per week.

• MS Office Suite proficiency; working knowledge of MS Project.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID.

Job description

Join AZAD Technology Partners as a Project Manager in the Transmission Project Portfolio Management organization. The organization supports capital project execution across Transmission Services and participates in the development of plans-of-service, new facility siting, and is responsible for process management of the design/build process. This assignment will facilitate Transmission Lines, Substation, or Telecom & Facilities type infrastructure type projects from inception to conclusion within the Transmission Project Portfolio Management organization. The Project Manager plans, facilitates, and coordinates activities for a designated project to verify that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Transmission Line projects may include taps and switches, insulator replacements, integration of small customer projects, replacing aging wood poles or small wood pole line rebuilds, structure re-location projects, access roads, fiber and more. Substation projects may include equipment replacements, additions, expansions, or retirements. Telecom & Facilities projects may include new or modified radio sites, relaying, or other telecommunications infrastructure projects.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, Washington, with onsite 3 days per week.

The hourly pay rate for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09)is between $48.00 and $58.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Management, Organizational Development, Computer Science or other directly related technical disciplines is preferred.

5 years of experience is required with an applicable Bachelor's degree.

7 years of experience is required without a Bachelor's degree in the applicable field.

10 years of experience is required without a degree.

Experience should include project coordination/ management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.

Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft SharePoint or similar system to store, analyze, and manipulate information.

Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Suite to store, analyze and manipulate information.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar program

Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.

Preferred Skills:

PMI or PMP certification.

Demonstrated proficiency with ArcMap or similar GIS program

Experience with electric utility industry data.

Working knowledge of the Electrical Substation environment, functional and technical specifications, and life-cycle management.
