Job summary

Clayco Design and Engineering (CDE) seeks a Project Manager to lead a multi‑disciplinary team across engineering, architecture, and design to deliver complex design‑build projects. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring design integrity and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating engineers and designers through all phases, supporting proposals, and traveling to client sites as needed. ABET‑accredited engineering degree and 10+ years' experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university or college.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering design, construction, or project management.
• 2+ years of experience managing design or project teams.
• Broad knowledge of advanced manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer, or ecommerce environments.

The Role We Want You For

The Project Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary team, overseeing the engineering disciplines required to deliver fully integrated design projects for clients across multiple industries. This person will be responsible for the successful execution of complex projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule alignment while delivering exceptional results. They will manage and coordinate engineers, architects, and designers through all project phases, from concept through construction administration, and collaborate across teams to achieve innovative design-build solutions.

The Specifics of the Role

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited university or college.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering design, construction, or project management.
• 2+ years of experience managing design or project teams.
• Broad knowledge of advanced manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer, or ecommerce environments, with an understanding of client requirements and industry standards.
• Competitive drive and persistence to overcome challenges and deliver results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Strong communicator, able to present clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Understanding of design-build delivery and client decision-making drivers.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and resilient in dynamic environments.
• Willingness to travel to client or project sites as required.

• The salary range for this position considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: Education, qualifications, skills, training, experience, certifications, internal equity, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The Clayco Nationwide salary range for this position is approximately $140,000 – 175,000 +/- annually (not adjusted for location).
