George Nice & Sons is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our Virginia sitework and underground utilities team. You will review plans, manage schedules and budgets, supervise crews and subcontractors, and participate in bid preparation.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Adobe. This in-person role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in site development, underground utilities, or road building.
• Driver's License (Required).

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to understand the scope of a project.
• Attend project meetings and conduct site visits.
• Create schedules, budgets, change order proposals, process submittals, RFIs, and other typical construction administrative items.
• Manage crews and subcontractors on various projects.
• Assist the lead estimator with bidding projects.
• Manage cost control, billings, collections, change management and monthly status reports.

We are seeking a motivated self-starter for a full-time Project Manager position to join our team. Candidates must be well versed in the underground utility and sitework industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to thoroughly understand the scope of a project.
• Attend project meetings and conduct site visits.
• Create schedules, budgets, change order proposals, process submittals, RFIs, and other typical construction administrative items.
• Manage crews and subcontractors on various projects.
• Assist the lead estimator with bidding projects.
• Manage cost control, billings, collections, change management and monthly status reports.

Qualifications

• Expert in reading and comprehending blueprints and other construction documents.
• Expert in the sitework and underground utility industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer and software skills preferably in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
