Overview

We are seeking a highly proactive Project Manager to support hardware‑focused initiatives within a medical device R&D program. This role is critical to improving execution discipline across hardware deliverables, ensuring timelines, ownership, and milestones are clearly defined, tracked, and communicated.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management fundamentals, hands‑on experience with medical device design controls, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project tracking and execution for hardware development across two product releases within the same product family
  • Build and manage detailed project plans (MS Project), ensuring clear ownership, timelines, and deliverables
  • Drive accountability across cross‑functional teams, identifying gaps and ensuring work is completed on schedule
  • Provide regular status updates, risk identification, and mitigation plans to program leadership
  • Support hardware design control activities, ensuring compliance with medical device regulations
  • Oversee configuration management for hardware components, including version control and change tracking
  • Partner with software PM and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure alignment across workstreams
  • Break down complex priorities into actionable tasks and clear execution plans
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in medical device or regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of medical device design controls and their application to hardware development
  • Experience with hardware configuration management and version control processes
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Project and project planning tools
  • Proven ability to drive execution, track deliverables, and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self‑starter with a hands‑on, proactive approach (minimal oversight required)
Preferred Qualifications
  • End‑to‑end product launch experience in R&D environments
  • Experience supporting product commercialization and qualification
  • Background in downstream activities, including supply chain integration and product release execution
  • Experience managing hardware and/or hardware‑software integrated programs
