About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and successful Project Manager to work with the Design Build team on a major infrastructure project. This is a long-term, full-time, on-site position located in Newark, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Management, review, and oversight of the design for the structure, civil, and roadway designs to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents.
- Provide support and oversight of construction and associated work.
- Work directly with the Program Integration Team to ensure the design and construction are in accordance with the interface requirements provided by System Technology.
- Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, authorities, and other SME staff to review, coordinate, and oversee the design work.
- Develop an understanding of the contractual (technical and commercial) requirements of the Design-Build contract and review various submittals accordingly.
- Distribute and review different designs, consolidating review comments from the Project Team and others to ensure consistency and compliance with the contract.
- Support the Construction Management Division during construction to ensure interfaces and contract requirements are understood and implemented.
- Assist the Project Controls group with contract administration, development of changes, and responses to contractor claims/disputes.
- Support testing and commissioning of the structure and other fixed facilities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Professional Engineering License in NJ.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with design and construction of rail or roadway bridge structures.
- Experience with Design-Build contracts in design, construction, or implementation.
- Proven ability to coordinate project management teams and support, coach, and influence effectively.
- Experience with industry-standard project management software such as Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
- 15+ years of experience with design and construction of rail or roadway bridge structures.
- Experience overseeing design-build contracts for owners.
- Experience with Automated People Mover systems.
- Experience with NJDOT/AASHTO bridge structures.
Compensation Details
The salary range is $166k-$208k annually ($80-$100/hr.), based on experience, skills, education, and certifications/licenses.
