Job summary

Temple is seeking a Project Manager to configure, implement, maintain, support, and improve processes for software and departments. The role coordinates change requests and serves as a liaison between vendors and the department.

The ideal candidate conducts business analysis, manages risks, and drives timely task completion while handling data in SQL and generating reports. A background check and CJIS certification are required; a driver’s license is necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management or related field.
• Three years of experience in law enforcement software support, application configuration, business analysis, project management or related field.
• Able to pass extensive criminal background check and polygraph when supporting public safety departments

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed business analysis of processes for business units.
• Identify project risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions and maintain associated records.
• Manage project tasks for the project team, identify risks to timelines, and facilitate timely completion.
• Research and resolve system issues related to software.
• Conduct business process reviews to improve programs and processes.
• Provide data analysis and maintain data/interfaces in SQL databases.
• Develop reports, designs forms, interfaces, and maintain documentation.
• Assist in implementing applications, patches, and upgrades.
• Perform data preparation, cleaning, standardization, and analysis.
• Import, transform, or validate data to aid operational decisions.
• Provide customer support, training, and education.
• Serve as liaison for other agencies to identify needs and sources of problems.
• Monitor system performance, implement security measures, and maintenance.
• Assist with planning/design/research for new hardware/software.
• Provide recommendations on hardware/software acquisitions/modifications.
• Follow city policies and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned
