  • Manage budgets with cost control and data analysis using Excel and SAS.
  • Apply Six Sigma/Kaizen to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee vendor management including negotiations and performance monitoring.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through lifecycle phases with clear communication.
  • Track progress with PM tools (Jira, Trello, MS Project, Confluence) and prepare executive status reports.
  • Conduct program development activities including scope design and risk mitigation.
  • Facilitate meetings to align teams and manage conflicts effectively.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager specializing in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) to lead and coordinate complex projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will drive program development, oversee project lifecycle management, and ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration. Your energetic leadership will foster continuous process improvement, optimize resource allocation, and deliver high-quality outcomes that align with business objectives. Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple CPG projects utilizing methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Lean, and SAFe to meet scope, schedule, and budget targets.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope management, risk management, resource planning, and scheduling using tools like Jira, Trello, Primavera P6, or Project Server.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define project objectives and translate business needs into detailed project requirements and process models.
  • Manage project budgets by implementing cost control measures and conducting data analysis using Excel and SAS to monitor financial performance.
  • Apply root cause analysis and Six Sigma techniques to identify process inefficiencies and implement Kaizen or Lean Six Sigma initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee vendor management activities including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through project lifecycle phases such as initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure while maintaining clear stakeholder communication.
  • Utilize project management software like Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, Confluence, or VersionOne to track progress and generate status reports for executive leadership.
  • Conduct program development activities including scope management, program design, risk mitigation strategies, and earned value management to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Facilitate meetings effectively to align teams on project goals while managing conflicts proactively through negotiation and conflict management techniques.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience supervising technical or business projects within the consumer packaged goods industry or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including PMBOK standards and frameworks such as Scrum (SAFe), Kanban, Waterfall, and Lean principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program development, portfolio management, process mapping, requirements analysis, and project scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Skilled in change management practices with a focus on stakeholder engagement and organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing diverse teams across multiple functions; capable of motivating teams toward shared goals.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques using SAS or Excel data analysis tools to inform decision-making processes.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical project & program manager supervisory experience is preferred along with certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure projects or product lifecycle management is advantageous but not mandatory.
