Job summary

Musco Lighting in Oskaloosa, IA is seeking a Project Manager for the Dev Sales team. The role focuses on leading project communications, coordinating deliveries, and overseeing installation of Musco lighting systems across remote project sites.

Travel will be frequent, including overnight stays, and the candidate should be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. The position demands a construction background, strong technical understanding, and the ability to work under pressure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of communication networks.
• Related work experience also considered.
• Willing to travel globally.
• Ability to interpret and understand project specifications, construction, and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge related to construction processes and practices.
• Excellent technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Computer oriented; Word and Excel necessary; basic AutoCAD skills are beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Work well under pressure.
• Flexible and tolerates change.
• Willingness to travel weekly to remote project locations; overnight stays 2-4 nights/week; 130-150 travel days/year.

Responsibilities

• Lead point of contact for internal and external communications and processes after Purchase Order.
• Assist the sales representative with pre-sale site visits as needed.
• Develop Musco’s scope of work.
• Create and evaluate RFQs for subcontractors.
• Coordinate delivery, storage, and installation of Musco projects.
• Process Change Orders and communicate to the Musco Team.
• Manage on-site installation and commissioning of lighting systems.
• Provide customer training on operation of lighting system controls.
• Ensure final inspections and project close-out reports are provided.
• Approve payment of invoices and notify Credit department for final billing.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred. Working knowledge of communication networks. Related work experience also considered.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Commission lighting systems to verify installation and operation of system.
• Provide customer training on the operation of the lighting system controls.
• Ensure final inspections are completed and provide customers with project close-out report upon project completion.
• Approve payment of invoices and notify Credit department to final billing of projects.
• Provide technical support as required during installation and commissioning of lighting systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
