Job summary

Musco Sports Lighting is seeking a Technician Associate based out of Iowa with extensive travel across the U.S. and abroad.

The position provides hands-on training in Musco's systems, services, and field operations to prepare for future service-related roles within the company. The role requires operating diverse equipment, performing field service, and maintaining gear while coordinating project timelines with customers and teams.

Qualifications

  • Excellent technical and problem solving ability.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
  • Strong personal initiative and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Basic computer, email, and internet skills for receiving work instructions and job reporting.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate equipment at lighting projects, including forklifts, aerial lifts, all-terrain forklifts, generators, non-CDL vehicles and rental cars.
  • Perform field service work, which will require working in aerial lifts, climbing poles, or in catwalk access locations at heights.
  • Learn all different aspects of Musco products and services provided to lend toward future services roles.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspection of equipment and products.
  • Coordinate time frames for projects with customers, vendors, equipment and people resources for assigned projects.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Field Logistics Supervisor regarding daily work duties and schedules.
  • Provide detailed written field reports and completion of required paperwork within one week of project or assignment of paperwork.
  • Work on crews on individually at Musco projects that could include, temporary lighting, warranty related efforts of Musco's metal halide, LED or control-link products.
  • Make solid daily expense related decisions.

The Musco Services Team has an opening for a Technician Associate. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!

This position provides hands-on training in Musco's systems, services, and field operations, helping team members build the knowledge and skills needed for future service-related roles within the company. Responsibilities include the safe operation of equipment and the execution of field service and temporary lighting projects in accordance with project plans and timelines established by the Logistics Supervisor. Job is based out of Iowa, but extensive travel (220-240 days per year) is required throughout the U.S. and, at times, abroad. Some working days in Oskaloosa will be required.
