Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Permanent Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects in Rochester from start to finish. You will plan, coordinate, and implement projects within budget, timeline, and scope, delivering high-quality results for a family-owned business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management in the construction industry, specifically with commercial projects.
  • Proven experience in project management and ability to lead a project from conception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, materials, quality control, and safety on large construction sites.
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with ability to direct others and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of regulations, quality standards, and best practices in construction.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the construction process, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion with high quality.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Coordinate and oversee construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and quality standards.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and progress reports.
  • Identify and manage risks and devise contingency plans.
  • Coordinate and obtain necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory prerequisites.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors for profitable agreements.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing commercial construction projects from start to finish in Rochester. This role is ideal for a driven individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Qualifications

  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the construction industry, specifically with commercial projects.
  3. Proven experience in project management and the ability to lead a project from conception to completion.
  4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, materials, quality control, and safety relevant to working on large construction sites.
  5. Proficient in project management software, MS Office Suite, and other related business and communication tools.
  6. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions.
  7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  8. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  9. Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and best practices in construction.
  10. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
  11. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
