Job summary

Job description

The Project Manager will work independently assuming primary responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating and delivering project activities through the entire project life cycle (from initiation to completion and implementation), specifically within construction projects. The Project Manager is responsible to achieve project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to Shamrock Foods Company project management methodologies and standards. The Project Manager may independently lead one or multiple projects that are large to mega in size, scope and complexity, have moderate to high risk and risk interdependencies, and be of enterprise level strategic importance. Project work may have moderate to high associated costs and the Project Manager is responsible for managing and tracking the established budget.

Essential Duties
  • Manage project plans for each construction project, and integrated critical paths when managing multiple projects, updating them regularly or as needed based on changes to the project
  • Provides project information to committees, project sponsors and department leadership
  • Present project requests to enterprise leadership committees/oversight bodies to receive approval, project direction and input
  • Assist in entitlement process by investigating local compliance with governmental agencies
  • Manage competing objectives and prioritize appropriately
  • Implement change management processes, taking reasonable and prudent actions to accomplish agreed upon project objectives
  • Identifying project risks and raising them proactively
  • Ensure project information is visible at the project, department, and Management Team level
  • Communicate information in clear and unambiguous terms to management and associates
  • Facilitates problem-solving and decision-making activities within the scope of the project
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering or a related field
  • 6+ years of project management experience, including previous experience managing multiple projects at one time, balancing priorities and deadlines
  • Must have strong business acumen with the ability to work with people from diverse functional backgrounds
  • Excellent analytical ability, strong communication and writing skills to effectively present information
  • Demonstrated prior ability to foresee issues, develop constructive solutions and provide decisive recommendations
  • Must be able to travel periodicallyMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays
Salary

Salary of $90,000 to $115,000 depending on competency, experience, qualifications and skills plus annual bonus potential.
