Job summary

Michael Page US is seeking a Project Manager for Commercial and Federal DC Metro projects. You will lead projects end-to-end, from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Engineering and 4–7 years of PM experience in commercial construction, with strong scheduling, cost control, and contract management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors, self-perform work, budgets, schedules, and project delivery.
• Experience with CPM schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects through the full lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout.
• Develop estimates, negotiate contracts, manage procurement and buyout processes.
• Build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders.
• Secure permits and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Conduct site visits to monitor safety, quality, progress and performance.
• Create and maintain critical path schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Identify schedule impacts, mitigate delays and manage extensions.
• Coordinate with field leadership on short-term and look-ahead schedules.
• Evaluate subcontracting and self-perform strategies to meet goals.
• Negotiate and administer contracts, subcontracts and change orders.
• Identify risks early and implement solutions before issues escalate.
• Lead project meetings and maintain documentation and reporting.
• Maintain submittal logs, change orders, and project tracking systems.
• Monitor budgets and forecast costs throughout execution.
• Prepare owner billings and vendor payments; ensure terms are met.
• Oversee closeout activities and turnover to clients.
• Support safety, quality, environmental programs and compliance.
