Job summary

AlphaX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and related interior construction projects from award through handover. You will manage field execution, budgets, subcontractor coordination, and on-time delivery while upholding safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualified candidates have direct experience in drywall/metal framing, can coordinate field teams, control costs, and keep multiple activities on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of project management in commercial interior construction.
• Direct experience with drywall and metal framing projects required.
• Knowledge of interior construction methods, scheduling, procurement, and cost controls.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and contracts.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects or scopes simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial planning through installation and final delivery.
• Develop schedules, budgets, procurement plans, staffing, and execution strategies.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts to verify requirements and conflicts.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Monitor labor productivity, costs, subcontractor expenses, billing, and change orders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, POs, payment applications, invoices, and project documents.
• Coordinate material procurement and deliveries to keep schedules.
• Conduct site visits to assess quality, productivity, safety, and schedule.
• Lead project meetings and report progress to stakeholders.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to keep on track.
