Job summary

Engtal, a Columbus-based commercial general contractor, is seeking experienced Project Managers to join its operations team. The role oversees ground-up and complex renovations across healthcare, education, industrial, and commercial sectors with projects ranging from $20M+ and a strong local Columbus focus.

In this role you will lead preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Background with a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
• Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects, ideally $20M+.
• Background in healthcare, higher education, industrial, institutional, commercial, or similarly complex construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction and buyout through completion and closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, financials, cost forecasting, schedules, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Partner with Superintendents and field teams to drive successful project execution.
• Build relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Identify risks, proactively solve problems, and keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction and buyout through completion and closeout

What They’re Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
• Background with a General Contractor or Construction Manager
• Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects, ideally $20M+
• Background in healthcare, higher education, industrial, institutional, commercial, or similarly complex construction
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, buyout, subcontractor management, and project delivery
• Proven ability to lead project teams and maintain strong client relationships
• Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
• $105K–$150K+ base salary, depending on experience
