AlphaHire has partnered with a client delivering a diverse portfolio of commercial, corporate, healthcare, housing and institutional projects in New England. We seek a Project Manager to own projects from preconstruction through closeout in a general contractor setting.

You will lead schedules, budgets, procurement, and coordination with owners, architects, engineers, and subs, driving on-time, on-budget performance while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
• Experience delivering projects from preconstruction through closeout with direct project ownership.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and cost forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and ongoing coordination to ensure efficient project execution.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders to keep projects moving forward.
• Partner with field superintendents to resolve construction challenges and maintain project milestones.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project financial performance, prepare cost reports, and identify risks to profitability.
• Lead project meetings and communicate status with leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure all work complies with contract documents, safety, and quality standards.
• Drive turnover, punch list completion, and closeout documentation.

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects in a general contractor environment, taking full ownership from preconstruction through closeout. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving project execution, financial performance, client satisfaction, and field coordination. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial construction projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering projects from preconstruction through closeout with direct project ownership.
• Experience managing commercial, corporate, healthcare, institutional, or multifamily construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and cost control.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Commercial general contractor experience is required; residential-only project management experience will not be sufficient.
